We had a wonderful time meeting all our new children at our stay and play sessions. They especially enjoyed a story from Miss Fletcher and Miss Hubbard! We love seeing new children exploring all the different areas we have to offer - and now they're part of the Cumberland family!
We have now learnt all of our Learning Values too!
The children have been settling into life at Cumberland amazingly!
Next week we are going to start a week long project called 'Welcome to Cumberland'. This project is all about the concept of 'Belonging'. We will be talking about how we belong with our families, to the Cumberland community and to different groups e.g. football clubs, swimming groups etc. We will discuss how it feels to belong.
To help with this, it would be great if you were able to support this by providing photos of where your children belong such as a picture of their family or clubs that they may be a part of such as dancing, football etc. A photo can either be sent into school or uploaded onto Tapestry. We will look at the photos and talk about them in class during next week. (If sending a photo into school could you please put this into a named envelope.)
