Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside!

Year 2 were given a map of the school grounds with lots of stars! They used their incredible skills to follow the map to find out what was hiding behind the stars! The children had a great time adventuring outside finding pictures of street art and objects linked to the beach... 

Our new project is called ‘Oh I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside’! During this project we will be writing beach themed poems, sketching the pier and creating our own street art style work. We will also be listening to, singing, and creating our own seaside themed music.​

We have been learning a poem called ‘What I found at the Seaside’. We decided as a class on the images and actions we would use to help us remember it. After we had practiced saying it with the words and pictures, we tried it with just the pictures. We succeeded! It was then suggested we should do it with no words or pictures, just the actions to remind us!
