Welcome to our Beware of the Wolf project!

Year 2 Will be learning the Little Red text below during their Beware of the Wolf Project.

Little Red 

There was once a little girl named Little Red. One morning she was walking through the peaceful forest wearing the bright red cloak that Grandma had kindly made for her. Suddenly she saw a wolf! His hungry eyes glinted in the sunlight. 

The wolf asked her where she was going. Should she tell him? Nervously she told him she was visiting grandma because she was ill. She showed him the checked basket that was filled with tasty snacks. The sneaky wolf thought he might trick Little Red.  

The clever wolf took a shortcut through the towering trees. He swiftly arrived at Grandma's cottage and crept inside! He quickly grabbed her and hid her in the cupboard. Then the sneaky wolf put on her nightgown and climbed into her bed. 

When Little Red arrived at the cottage she noticed that her Grandma looked very different.  She had big, sharp teeth and thick, grey fur that covered her body!  

Suddenly the wolf leapt out of bed and pounced on her. A brave woodcutter was passing by and bravely rushed to the cottage to rescue them. They were safe at last.  The cunning wolf ran away and was never seen again.
